Cheap Green Energy
Posted on: Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 at 2:28 pm
In the long run, green energy proves to be very cheap and affordable and saves a lot of money for the consumers. By producing heat and light from natural sources of energy like solar power, hydro-electric power, wind power and geo-thermal power, much less expenses are needed to be made on the home’s heating and air conditioning needs. Apart from that, most of the green products are made up of reused and recycled materials, as a result of which they are very cheap as compared to their brand new counterparts.
Green energy sources are 100% natural and nature never asks for money for what it gives to human kind. That is why, natural resources are available absolutely for free and that is why the products obtained from it are available for very cheap. Not only this, green energy will also be very beneficial for your health as well because whatever the nature provides is 100% non-toxic and chemical free.
Alternative Green Energy
Posted on: Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 at 9:51 am
Sources of alternative green energy are renewable and are able to produce electricity in a natural way. Thus, they not only help in saving the environment but also in saving a lot on electricity bills. There are two types of alternative green energy sources: hydro energy, wind energy and solar energy come into one group while geothermal energy and bio-fuels come into the second group.
Alternative green energy which makes use of windmill technology is known as wind power. Solar energy or the heat and light from the sun is also a very popular form of alternative green energy. Hydroelectric power has seen worldwide implementation as an alternative green energy system. And last but not the least; geo-thermal energy has also experienced worldwide implementation. Other than all this, oil rich plants such as rapeseed may be processed into diesel to power engines known as bio-diesel and plants that are high in sugar content can be distilled to form ethanol which is used for running cars.
Green Energy to Lower Your Electric Bill
Posted on: Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 at 10:10 am
More than any times, people are tight on their financial aspects and they have chosen to turn to the alternate sources of energy. In these economic times, going green is not only meant to save the environment but also to save a lot on households’ electricity bills. If you are interested in lowering your electric bill, the best thing you can do is to use wind turbines and solar panels.
With the help of wind energy and solar energy, your home will be made warm all the time and this will save your money on air conditioning needs. By installing green windows on your home’s walls, you will be able to trap more energy and heat inside your home, as a result of which, you will need to spend much less on your home air conditioning, thus making a significant reduction in your electric bill. All these steps will not only save your money, but will also save electricity which has already started to finish off soon.

Is Green DIY Energy worth Your Time

As most of the people of today, you must also be conscious about saving money and also your environment by any way possible. But the drawback is that most people do not know much about a solar panel and its energy systems, let alone constructing and implementing it in their home. For this, choosing DIY energy system guides is a better choice for the person who is willing to build his own energy system.
If you are trying to install green building products in your home, you aim at saving money for yourself and it does not mean that you can save money from one source and spend it on the other. By making your solar panel on your own, you will save a lot of money. It is a truth that because green products save a lot of money for you in the long run, they cost a lot for a usual customer. You can build your own green products so that you do not need to buy them and thus save the money that you want to.
Green building energy savings

Apart from being environment friendly and beneficial to the human health, green building technologies also help in saving a lot on energy efficiency and costs. Because they are made up of natural and renewable sources of energy, they depend less upon sources of energy such as electricity and air conditioning.
Sources of energy like the Sun and water play a more important role in constructing such buildings and that is why they help in saving a lot of money and energy for the households. For example, a house that receives a lot of heat and light from the sun will need a very nominal cost on its lightening and air conditioning needs.
Similarly, a house that has solar geysers installed will save a lot of money on electricity. So, what can be a better way to save a lot of money and energy than using green building technologies in your home construction project?
Act Green: The Importance of Building “Green”

Green building, in other words, the construction of highly energy efficient office buildings, hospitals, schools, etc., may not be as popular in headlines as global warming or renewable energy, but it is no less important in the fight against climate change.
Thomas Friedman outlined the underlying problem in his new book, Hot, Flat, and Crowded. He discussed the importance of switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs, recycling, and being as energy efficient as possible. But then Friedman inserts a reality check, identifying several growing cities in Asia. Some small cities in China are booming with population growth, new construction, and with thousands of new cars on the road each week. Any of the progress made here at home with improved recycling and energy efficient light bulbs just went down the drain.
During the upcoming United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, there must be a strong emphasis on the benefits of training laborers to build buildings and infrastructure of new and growing cities to be highly energy efficient. Without new growth becoming energy efficient, or better yet, having a net of zero emissions, no significant progress will ever be made to fight global climate change
New technology to turn coal green
Posted on: Thursday, November 20th, 2008 at 8:00 am
Most of the global warming issues are concerned with coal but a new technology has recently been developed which can double the power of coal and at the same time, minimize the green house gas emissions.
According to this test done in Australia, when coal does reaction with air in Direct Carbon Fuel Cells (DCFC), a highly energy efficient electricity is generated, thus making coal a green source of power. This new technology will definitely help in halving the amount of the coal needed for creating electricity. In this way, the industry will get a very significant savings on its energy and costs, which can be passed over to the consumers.
Apart from saving a lot of energy and money, the DCFC also provides a very clean power. It has also been expected that with the help of this technology, carbon dioxide, a harmful greenhouse gas, will also be safely and easily trapped and stored.
