In today’s date, almost every person or household has at least one car and that is why, insurance companies have come up with an idea to provide discounts on insurance of green cars.

It has been proved that cars are a major contributor towards increasing air pollution on the earth and by lowering down the insurance premiums on green cars, the insurance companies are in a way encouraging the car buyers to buy green cars only. Green cars give out lower emissions and they save much more on fuel and gas. Lower emissions result in decreased carbon footprints and therefore, less carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide released into the air. Some insurance companies may also offer extra incentives to the car owners like recycling the vehicle in case it is irrecoverable and using recycled auto parts for repairing of the cars.
